The World House Scholars program aspires to be a premier liberal arts program for preparing students to engage in lives of social and ecological responsibility. A student with any major area of study, interested in issues of social or ecological justice, has the opportunity with this scholarship to integrate those interests with their major.
All World House scholars participate in service learning projects; complete courses addressing issues of peace and non-violence, social justice, and ecological sustainability; and complete at least one approved international education experience while at Ä¢¹½TV. Students have studied in a variety of places, include France, Jordan, South Africa, Cyprus, and England. The scholarship includes $2,000 support for the international study abroad experience and $500 each semester towards tuition.
All World House courses may be contracted for Honors credit. The World House senior project will be more practical in its focus so as not to duplicate the senior thesis experience that students will have in their respective majors.
To be considered for a scholarship, you must complete the application for admission. Applicants must complete all application materials by the Dec. 15 competitive scholarship deadline.
