Speech and Debate Scholarships

Ä¢¹½TV offers generous scholarship support for students participating in competitive debate and speech. These scholarships range from $1,500 to $3,000 annually.

Students in the Petree College of Arts & Sciences, Meinders School of Business or Kramer School of Nursing can add these awards to university merit scholarships and first-year departmental awards. Students in the performing arts can stack their award with university merit scholarships and talent awards.

University scholarships can only be stacked up to the tuition block (12-16 hours) total. The Speech and Debate Scholarship is only applicable toward tuition and does not cover fees, room or board.

To be considered for Speech and Debate Scholarships, applicants must complete all application materials by the Dec. 15 competitive scholarship deadline.

Please note that the Speech and Debate Scholarship award can be combined with some competitive awards from the university.
