College fair features nearly 50 institutions from central U.S.

ĢTV is partnering with the Great Plains Association for College Admission Counseling (GPACAC) to host the Oklahoma City Signature Fair on March 10. The event will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Meinders School of Business on the OCU campus at 2701 N. McKinley Ave.

The recruitment event is designed to connect local high school students and their families with a diverse array of higher education options. OCU expects to welcome representatives from 45 to 50 different colleges and universities from around the central U.S., offering attendees the opportunity to explore various academic programs, campus cultures and admission requirements in a single evening. Recruiters from institutions ranging from large public universities to private liberal arts colleges will be represented.

Admission for students and families is free, and registration is available at . High school students, parents and counselors can register.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for Oklahoma families to connect with college representatives they might not have the chance to meet otherwise,” said Tasha Casey-Loveless, senior director of Admissions at OCU. “Starting the conversation about higher education is important, and families shouldn’t feel like they have to rule out college before they even know what’s possible. There are affordable options through scholarships and financial aid, and those pathways begin with a conversation.”

Colleges must pre-register to reserve a table. For more information, contact GPACAC at [email protected].
